The Kogi State Chapter of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) debunked the claim that Nasir El-Rufai, former governor, is now the leader of the party.
SDP explained that it remains united under its presidential leadership Hehu Garbam.
The party stated this in a press statement issued by the party’s propaganda minister Isah Davies Ijele.
They expressed their commitment to work together to achieve the common goal of saving Nigeria in the 2027 elections.
Ijele noted that claiming El-Rufai is now the leader of the party is completely unfounded and fabricated by naughty opposition parties who fear the popularity of the party and the potential for the future to save Nigeria from the ruling party.
According to him,Under the leadership of our respected President, Shehu Gabam, the SDP remains united and we are committed to working together to achieve the common goal of saving Nigeria in the 2027 elections.
“His Excellency Mallam Nasir El-Rufai is a respected leader in the SDP and continues to play a valuable role in our collective efforts.
“We urge the public to ignore these misleading and divisive rumors.
