    Nigerian singer-songwriter Seyi Shay reveals how the legendary musician Sound’s pass has lasting impact on her life and music career.

    In a recent interview, the singer described the Sultan voice as a colleague, also called him a mentor, best friend and father’s figure. She explained that his sudden death in 2021 shocked her and made her lose interest in music at the time.

    “Voice Sultan’s death really affected me. He is everything in my industry. When he passed, I just didn’t have the enthusiasm for music,She admitted.

    The award-winning artist added that her grief coincides with a major transition in her personal life. She has a daughter, and she faces the challenges of motherhood and the harsh entertainment industry.

    According to Seyi Shay, the combination of a guide who lost trust and facing the “toxic” aspects of the music business has taken her from the spotlight for a long time.

    Her candid revelation inspired a conversation between fans and artists, talking about the importance of coaching, emotional well-being and support systems in the Nigerian music industry.

    Sound Sultan, born in Olanrewaju Fasasi, is known for his socially conscious lyrics and unique artistry. He died in July 2021 and left the Nigerian entertainment community.
