The Tinubu government has taken action to cancel Buhari’s visa on arrival policy.

Instead, a login and an exit card will be introduced for travelers to complete before they arrive in Nigeria.
The arrival visa policy was introduced in 2020 and is a short-term visa issued at the entry point.
However, in 2023, Minister Tunji-Ojo said the policy applies only based on reciprocity rates.
The visa is mainly for frequent travelers, high net worth investors and tourists from countries without Nigerian embassy.
The new system is designed to improve traveler entry procedures.
