The federal government received the Nigerian women’s basketball team D’Tigress award for the Nigerian (OON) National Medal of Honor, each player received $100,000 and apartment. It was announced when President Bola Tinubu hosted the team on Monday night After their unprecedented fifth #AFROBasketWomen victory.
In Sunday’s final, Nigeria showed resilience and calmness by defeating Mali 78-64 in a tense showdown, demanding them to win their seventh Afrobasket title. Last week, the president awarded Super Falcon a similar national honor and gift for winning Nigeria’s 10th Women’s African National Cup title in Morocco.
