The office of Vice President Kashim Shettima confirmed Mr Daura’s health in a statement, while providing information on the Vice President’s trip to London.
Mr. Shettima, at the request of President Bola Tinubu, led a delegation of Nigeria to London to bring back Mr. Buhari’s body.
“After arriving in London on behalf of Vice President Kashim Shettima, he met with the family of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari and begged.
The vice president also visited Malam Mamman Daura, the nephew of the late president, who is recovering in London hospitals, noted the vice president’s office.
“The condolence visit was carried out as the Vice President awaited the conclusion of the end of the procedure and documents to repatriate former President Buhari’s body to Nigeria.
“Shetima Vice President is President and President, Femi Gbajabiamila; Professor Babagana Zulum, Governor of Borno State; Hadejia.”
