Police said a man was charged with murder and allegedly shot an administrator of a community WhatsApp group that removed him from the chat.
Mushtaq Ahmed was shot dead in Peshawar on Thursday night, March 6.
A Pakistani man, known only as Ashfaq, has been charged with murder, according to police documents from AFP and local police officials.
Mushtaq allegedly removed Ashfaq from WhatsApp group after the argument, according to the statement of the Mushtaq brothers seen by the AFP.
He said both sides had arranged a meeting and reconciliation, but claimed that Ashfak appeared with a gun and fired, k! lling his brother.
According to him, Ashfaq was angry about “reaction to the evacuation of WhatsApp Group.”
