The popular Pastor Anambra, Prophet Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere (widely known as Orumeje) announced his intention to run for Nigeria’s presidency in 2027, calling for a turn to young, digital leadership rather than what he calls “old goods.”

Naija News The controversial pastor made a declaration during Sunday’s sermon, and the video has since been circulated on social media, the report said.

However, he did not disclose the party he planned to compete.

Odumeje criticized Nigeria’s past and present leaders before his congregation, noting that their age and lack of vision have hindered the country’s progress.

“The leaders of past and present have failed to move Nigeria forward due to their age and lack of vision. This country needs a dynamic, resilient and forward-looking leader like me to make real progress,” he said.

The pastor stressed the need for young and innovative leadership, expressing his confidence in his ability to change the country.

He said:We need young leaders in this country and I think I’m coming out. We need a young leader to serve as president, digital leaders, not old goods. Am I sure you hear me? I think I will come out, I will come out to the president. ”

He went on to ask whether his congregation was ready to serve as president, promising to introduce modern infrastructure and digital development.

“Are you ready? President Orumeje? Are you ready? Because I know what you need. I know what you want. I want to build a main road for you called Citadel. I want to give you modern life, digital life,” he said.

Odumeje’s manifesto inspired the excitement of his followers, many of whom expressed support for his bid.

However, on social media, the announcement sparked widespread debate, with some Nigerians questioning his political experience, while others praised his boldness in challenging the status quo.
